Our story
Luxin Living was founded in 2019 by a small group of architects, urban planners, and hospitality professionals who shared a single conviction: rental living in Laval could be so much more than four walls and a lease agreement. They envisioned a residence where thoughtful design, genuine service, and a thriving community would come together to redefine what it means to rent.
Construction began in the spring of 2020 on a carefully chosen site at 8199 Evelyn Flat, H7A 0A1 Laval, Quebec, Canada — a location that balances urban accessibility with natural beauty, steps from the Rivière des Prairies and minutes from major transit routes. Every decision, from the geothermal heating system to the Italian stone cladding on the façade, was guided by a commitment to longevity, sustainability, and sensory delight.
The first residents moved in during the autumn of 2021, and since then our community has grown to over 320 individuals and families who share an appreciation for quality, design, and neighbourly connection. Today, Luxin Living is recognised as one of Laval's premier residential addresses, and we continue to evolve — adding new amenities, refining our services, and listening closely to the people who call this building home.
Our core values
These principles guide every decision we make — from the materials we specify to the way our concierge greets you each morning.
Design excellence
We believe beauty is not a luxury — it is a necessity. Every surface, fixture, and sightline in our building has been considered by award-winning designers to create spaces that inspire calm and creativity.
Environmental responsibility
Our LEED Gold certification is not a marketing badge — it reflects deep investment in geothermal energy, rainwater harvesting, native landscaping, and waste-diversion programmes that reduce our collective footprint.
Genuine hospitality
Borrowed from the best boutique hotels, our service philosophy centres on anticipation — knowing what our residents need before they ask. From dry-cleaning pick-up to a warm greeting at the door, every interaction matters.
Community first
A building is only as vibrant as the people inside it. Through curated events, shared spaces, and an open-door management style, we cultivate a neighbourhood where residents genuinely know — and look out for — one another.

Our journey so far
Key milestones in the Luxin Living story.
2019 — The idea takes shape
Nathalie Gagnon and two co-founders draft the original concept for a rental residence in Laval that would rival the best condominiums in design and service. Early sketches and feasibility studies begin.
2020 — Construction begins
Ground is broken at 8199 Evelyn Flat. The 14-storey structure is designed around a central courtyard garden, maximising natural light and cross-ventilation for every unit.
2021 — First residents move in
The building welcomes its inaugural residents in October. Within three months, occupancy reaches 78 percent — well ahead of projections — driven by word-of-mouth and strong local press coverage.
2022 — LEED Gold certification
Luxin Living earns LEED Gold status from the Canada Green Building Council, recognising its geothermal systems, green roof, and comprehensive waste-reduction programme.
2023 — Community expansion
The rooftop terrace is expanded to include a second pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire-pit lounge. The co-working space doubles in size with private phone booths and a podcast studio.
2025 — Looking ahead
Planning is underway for a second Luxin Living property in the greater Montreal area. Meanwhile, the original building continues to evolve, with a new wellness centre and electric car-share programme launching this spring.
